Message from ILTA President
I am pleased to invite the worldwide language testing community to Seoul, Korea, to participate in the 35th Language Testing Research Colloquium (LTRC).
Each year we seek to explore current issues in language testing and assessment. The 2013 theme of broadening horizons reminds us of the many ways in which the field of language testing is diversifying. In addition to the growing interest in diagnostic assessment as a tool in classroom teaching, we are seeing an increasing need for non-English language tests in response to globalization.
More than ever, we need to broaden our horizons in our approach to language testing and assessment.
I look forward to a rich and rewarding program for our 35th annual colloquium.
President, International Language Testing Association (ILTA)
